WEEK 17
We are very happy to announce (finally!) a few things about Éigse 2010. Firstly, An Gig Mór (the Big Gig): ASLAN and the Hounds of Cullan are coming!! An Gig Mór will take place in the Village (Wednesday 10/3/10). Because there's going to be such a big interest in seeing these, we're starting selling tickets early and I would advise you to get yours asap. Tickets will be €15 each for the gig* and will be available from the stand in the Arts' Block on Monday and Wednesday of next week (22nd and 24th Feb.) There'll be a stand in the Hamilton Building on Tuesday (23rd Feb.) There are t-shirts for the first 100 to buy a ticket!
As well as this, the first EVER 'Ball Gaelach' (Gaelic Ball) will take place on the Thursday of that week. It's going to be on in the Russel Court Hotel. A Ball with music, food, dancing and everything..and tickets are only €20*! Tickets for the Ball Gaelach can also be bought at the times listed above.

We're looking for articles for Tuathal again, for the Éigse na Tríonóide edition! Until Wednesday, 17th February, We will be accepting:
- Articles on current affairs
- Reviews on films, books, cds (the films etc. don't have to be in Irish (though the review does, obviously))
- Humorous pieces
- Poems
- Short stories (but keep them short!)
- Interviews (if anyone knows anybody famous??)
- and really anything at all that you have an interest in!
Your grammar doesn't have to be perfect, as Róisín A. will be looking through them anyway. Send the articles, or any questions, to foilseachan@cumann.ie!
With Sibéal Davitt (champion dancer) in room 50-directly across from room 8 in the atrium, Wednesday 5-5.30pm. The classes will run for a month in preparation for Éigse na Tríonóide (Trinity Irish Week.) Each class will last 30 minutes and costs only €2. Everybody welcome!
This Wednesday (16 Feabhra). The workshops will begin at seven o'clock in room 4046. The aim of the workshops is to give people the skills for public speaking and debating. A debate will be organinsed during Éigse na Tríonóide, and those that took part in the workshops will get a chance to debate in public.
Interviews for the various different rings will take place Tuesday of next week (23rd feb), in room 8 in the Atrium, fomr 1-2pm. If you have Irish, this is only an informal chat and the fáinní (rings) will be presented by Mairtín Tom Sheáinín (from the programme 'Comhrá' on TG4, Ireland's answer to George Clooney!) during Eigse Week.
